Becoming Coastal Community Church Cocoa
On Sunday June 14th, we announced a seismic shift in our church’s future. Lineage Church is becoming the fourth location of Coastal Community Church.
CCC’s broadcast campus is located in Parkland, in South Florida. Pastors TJ and Shayla, who were with us in worship this past Sunday, founded the church in 2009. Today, Coastal Community Church is recognized as the seventh fastest growing church in America by Outreach magazine’s 100 Fastest-Growing Churches list with a current average weekly attendance of 5,000 people and a proven track record of building the Kingdom of God.
We are honored to join what God is doing through their ministry. As Coastal Community Church of Cocoa, we will become their first location outside of their home region and our footprint on the Space Coast will expand immediately. We will reach more people for Jesus, more quickly, than ever before. Couple this merger with our already-in-motion Phase I Remodel and Expansion plans, and the work is in high gear.

August Update
The work continues to progress wonderfully as excitement builds with becoming Coastal Community Church of Cocoa. Our relationship with the leaders and teams of Coastal is developing and growing. God is certainly in this. It’s only been three months since Pastor TJ and I met and began the conversation of what it would look like for Lineage Church to become the fourth location of Coastal Community.
Since then, the plan has unfolded beautifully by God’s leading, and the joint effort has been seamless. Pastors TJ & Shayla are uncommon servants, uniquely gifted and very intentional. They are high-capacity leaders, focused, humble, and deeply serious about the work of Kingdom expansion. The more I’m around them, the more I appreciate them and feel honored to be part of the Coastal team and this great effort. I pray this merger will help others to see the value of
partnering for greater impact. Our staff has been interfacing with their staff, and onboarding is underway. We are joining forces to see more people in heaven, and fewer people trapped in sin and captured by Satan.
The renovation of our facility is on track. Crews are working daily, and it’s shaping up beautifully. We remain on schedule for our Grand Opening, Sunday, September 13th — two services, 9:15 and 10:45 AM. One hundred thousand direct mailings will go into the homes of area residents announcing Grand Opening! Couple that with your personal invites, and we will be amazed at the crowd that shows up. What a day it will be!
